When I heard about this game I thought, this is great for family reunions or any family holiday gathering. You can use it to teach kids cousins and other relatives names or use to share memories of past events.
Family Memory Game Preparation For a Family Reunion ask each family in attendance to send an individual photo of each family member, family or group photo or a several photos of them having fun. I recommend you get digital photos from them so you can make sure all the photos are the same size when you get them printed. You may also include in memory photos and those who cannot attend.

Family gatherings can sometimes be difficult for kids and need a challenge. So this game involves interaction on several levels.
There are several ways to play this game, so start with the basics and build. Please note if you only have one camera, then just give it each set of kids for 30 minutes and then give it to the next group.
Give kids (pairs recommended for picture taking) digital cameras. Tell them that they need to go around and take pictures with as many people at the event as possible and the person (team) that takes the most pictures with people at the event wins a prize. If a small gathering have more than one prize. Tell them they need to be in these pictures too. So if Billy and Alice are a team, then Billy takes a picture with Cousin Zach and then Alice also takes a picture with Cousin Zach.

Santa Hat Game For festive gatherings with Santa hats. You need everyone to be wearing a hat, so either use the ever popular Santa hats, or otherwise give everyone a normal party hat. The game is based on observation. the objective is NOT to be the last person left with a hat on. At the start announce the simple objective, the only rule is that no one can take their hat off until you have. Let another game or conversation take place, and as time goes by, people will take their attention off you, and even forget the game is happening. Eventually remove your hat and watch as people cotton on. Gradually the hats will come off, amidst sniggers and smirks. Some unsuspecting person (who’s probably busy boring everyone with a hopeless story) will be last to notice, and much to every ones’ mirth, this person is the loser. Serve up an appropriate forfeit, get the hats back on and give the loser the chance to start the next game.

New Year Games forNew Year Eve Party |
|

New Year's Eve Scramble: Write a bunch of different words on a piece of paper that have to do with New Year's Eve and scramble the letters. The person who guesses the most words correctly wins a prize. Predict the Future: Throughout the party, present a magazine picture to each table of kids. These pictures should show something from the past year, such as a winning football game, a new toy, a political event, etc. Each table of kids must make a prediction for the next year, based on the picture. For example: The Yankees will win the pennant, Bill Clinton will become a rock star, the president will be a woman, and so on. Keep providing pictures after each course for the kids' predictions. Some other fun ideas that will keep the kids busy for hours until the clock strikes midnight are to have them create their own time capsule, strike a piñata, make New Year's resolutions (and guess whose resolutions they are), decorate cookies, and have a huge indoor treasure hunt with clues.
